The Friends of Tryon Creek (FOTC) seeks an exceptional relationship builder to lead its volunteer and stewardship programming to achieve its environmental education and conservation mission. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all volunteer recruitment, support and recognition as well as the Friends park restoration program, coordinating special events and building volunteer partnerships with the corporate community. The position also supports nature education programs for children and adults. Field Trip Program Coordinator
The Field Trip Program coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development, presentation and evaluation of the education programs offered to schools and scout groups at Tryon Creek State Natural Area. The Field Trip Program Coordinator is also responsible for training and retention of volunteer Nature Guides that support education programs. During the summer months the Field Trip Program Coordinator serves as a lead for the half-day summer camp program for children ages 4-6. The Field Trip Program Coordinator works closely with FOTC’s Education Committee and reports to the Education Director.
