Forest Market 2009
Come and experience this one of a kind holiday market! From wonderful organic chocolate truffles and lush holiday wreaths to beautiful hand thrown pottery and decorative art made of reclaimed wood there is something for everyone on your list. This market supports the exceptionally talented artisans and culinary gurus of our local community and a portion of the proceeds go towards the amazing education and restoration programs at Tryon Creek. There will also be activities for children and local author meet and greets so be sure to mark your calendars!

guided nature walk: Ethnobotany SAT: 10 - 11:30am
holiday craft workshop: Homemade Holiday Medicinals! We will be using infused oil from medicinal forest plants as our ingredients in creating salves and chapstick. Come and participate in this fun, hands-on activity and learn how to make your own homemade gifts. One sample per visitor and first come, first served. SAT
1:30 - 3:30pm
holiday craft workshop: Stop by the Tryon Creek Nature Center to make holiday ornaments and cards with both natural and recycled materials.  All materials will be provided.  Please join in the celebration and bring your creativity. SUN
