Do you like the forest? Would you like to learn more about the plants and animals here at Tryon Creek? Are you interested in how Native Americans used our local plants for food, medicine, tools, and shelter? Do you like working with children? We would love to provide you with that extra knowledge and only ask that as a trained Nature Guide you share it in turn with children and adults who visit the park during morning school field trips. Guides will be asked to volunteer at least 10 times and will lead small groups of children through the forest.
Evening Orientation: Wednesday; September 15th, 2010
Meet here at the Nature Center and dress to hike. Training schedule to be determined during orientation.
