“Phenology Friday” Plant Walks

  • Friends of Tryon Creek 11321 South Terwilliger Boulevard Portland, OR, 97219 United States (map)

Join this monthly community science monitoring program to observe seasonal changes in key culturally and ecologically important plants. You will learn to identify these plants in all life stages and contribute to critical local data! This surveying follows the same plants year-round to monitor climate change impacts and help inform our restoration efforts—directly contributing to supporting adapative restoration to keep the forest happy and healthy. This project is supported by iNaturalist and Seeding Action!

Walks start May 8th and continue all summer.

See the full schedule and sign up through our volunteer system here.

All ages and experience levels are welcome. Volunteer activity includes hiking up to 2 miles down to the creek and back up to the Nature Center.
